Choosing a flight simulator program is your first step in virtual aviation. This decision should be based on four primary factors:
- Introduction to planes and programs to find the aircraft youu want to train in.
- Your computer skills
- Flexibility in design of aircraft.
- Terrain and landmark realism.
Evaluating Flight Simulator Programs
We will look at and evaluate the two affordable industry standard flight simulator programs:
- Microsoft “Flight Simulator X (FSX)” newest version
- Laminar Research “X-Plane” newest version is 11
We will also look at the Google Earth Flight simulator with it’s detailed terrain and landmark realism
We will start by looking at two light-sport airplanes I fly:
- Flight Designs CT
- Zodiac 601/650
